Welcome to Dustin Boney Racing
8/26/09 - Boney sees mixed results at halfway point of USMTS Hunt
Halfway through the 2009 USMTS Hunt for the National Championship, Dustin Boney finds himself 12th in the points standings. Dustin continues to demonstrate that he is competitive at the highest level of modified racing in the midwest. However a few unfortunate DNF's have dropped him from the Top 10 in points currently.
Dustin plans to take his Wise Racing, Yulich Farms, Leavenworth Co-op sponsored, Sputs Racing Engine machine back on the road again next week with a goal of getting firmly back into the Top 10 at the top of their list. Wish Dustin and team the best of luck over their LONG Labor Day weekend!
7/19/09 - Sputs powers Boney to victory in second event!

If you have followed Dustin's motor challenges this year, you know it has been a tough road. But new life was given to the Wise Racing Hughes Chassis #22 in the way of a new Sputs Racing Engine. And in just the second outing in with the new powerplant, it took Boney to a walk away victory at Central Missouri Speedway.
7/5/09 - Motor challenges aside, Boney sees sucess in 2009
Thus far 2009 has been the tale of two season for Dustin Boney and the
Wise Racing Team.
On nights when Dustin has seen the checkered flag he has two wins, eight
top fives, and a fifth place finish in the USMTS Mo-Kan Region Points qualifying
him for the 2009 USMTS Hunt.
The other half of the story is the plaguing motor issues the 22 team has battled throughout the year. Engine number six expired this past Friday during night one of the Tom Wilson Memorial race at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, MO.
Fortunately Jim Moody and team came through with a motor for Dustin to run on night two at CMS.
"There are no words to express my thanks to Jim, Dallas, and team for allowing me to borrow their motor last night." Dustin shared, "we would not of even been able to make the show without their generosity. From our racing team to theirs, thanks again!"
After this most recent motor expiring, Dustin and the Wise Racing are going
back to the drawing board to determined their next step. Stay tuned to Dustin
Boney Racing.com for more information.
7/5/09 - Dustin runner-up at CMS Tom Wilson Memorial
From CentralMissouriSpeedway.NET
Twenty cars started the scramble for the final 12 outside row starting positions for the special feature event and a guarantee of at least a $1,000 payday. Early on Dustin Boney takes the lead after starting in row three. Jason Thompson also follows him up to the front. On lap 17, Jim Moody blows an engine after it appeared he had a potential top five finish. Local favorite, Dave Meyer also has problems and had to take his car to the pits. Boney crosses the line in first, Thompson second, CMS points’ leader Aaron Marrant, third and Terry Phillips in fourth after an 18 th place starting position. Terry Schultz finishes in fifth followed by the remaining qualifiers; Tim Karrick, Matt Dotson, Grant Junghans, Darren Shore, Johnny Fennewald, Darren Bennett and Steven Glenn.
The Modified special event started with 24 drivers for the 40-lap feature with Chad Lyle and Dustin Boney leading the field to the green flag start with the fans cheering on their favorite drivers. Boney dives into the early lead to settle into a pace to complete the feature. Behind Boney, Lyle and Thompson work the track to see if a line would work for them to move up into the top spot. Meanwhile Terry Phillips starts to pick off positions one by one so by lap 12 he moves up into third place. Terry Schultz starts to work the high-side for traction and moves into the top five along with a fast paced Justin Boney. At the half way point on lap twenty, Phillips moves into second with Dustin Boney still in the lead. After hitting some lapped traffic around lap 25, Phillips patiently waits to make his move around Boney. On lap thirty, he does make his move into the lead and never looks back for the $5,500 Tom Wilson Memorial victory. Boney finishes a strong second with his brother Justin Boney for a well deserved third, Terry Schultz fourth using the high-side traction and Jason Thompson in fifth.
6/24/09 - How do you spell M-O-M-E-N-T-U-M

For Dustin Boney and the Wise Racing Team, momentum is spelled with back
to back wins the week before the final USMTS Mo-Kan Region swing through
Central Missouri.
After battling mechanical issues and racers luck throughout much of the
2009 Season, Dustin has gotten his Hughes Racing Chassis into Victory Lane
not once, but twice over the weekend with wins at LA Raceway (home of Friday
nights USMTS event) and Central Missouri Speedway (home of the Tom Wilson
Memorial $5k over 4th of July).
“We’ve had a fast racecar all season long,” said Boney, “but our results
have not shown what were capable of up to this point in the year.”
Looking at the coming weekend, Dustin Boney, will be pulling yet another
double header starting out at LA Raceway, home of last Friday night’s victory.
With the USMTS teams headed into town Boney is looking forward to the opportunity
to show that all the bad luck is behind him. The following evening Dustin
and the Wise Racing team will travel down to Lucas Oil Speedway again with
the USMTS series for the final event of the Mo-Kan Region Series. Boney,
currently 5th in series points is looking to finish out the region strong.
“I really believe we are hitting our stride going into the weekend. Since
the first event of the year, I knew this car and team were capable of winning
a USMTS event. We look forward to having a great opportunity at bringing
one (or two) victories home this weekend.” Boney stated.
Look for the Wise Racing, Auto Finance Centers, Yulich Farms, Hughes Racing
Chassis modified at LA Raceway and Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend. Next
weekend Dustin and team will be headed back to CMS in Warrensburg for the
$5k to win race where Dustin ran a close second to Jeremy Payne in 2008.
See ya at the track!
